Advanced CNC Turning Centers: Our CNC turning centers boast 8 and 12 turret stations, offering superior versatility and efficiency.  We can handle workpieces ranging from 2mm diameter to 150mm diameter using a compact 165mm & 250mm diameter chuck sizes on our CNC turning centres. This allows us to tackle a wide variety of components, regardless of their complexity.

Unmatched Machining Capability with VMC: Our VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machine is equipped with a 4th axis for intricate machining needs.  Combined with a 24-tool Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), this powerhouse enables us to perform rapid and precise multi-axis machining operations.

Fast and Accurate Raw Material Cutting: Streamlining your project workflow is our priority.  That’s why we utilize a dedicated circular saw cutting machine. This ensures fast, clean, and dimensionally accurate cuts to your raw materials, minimizing material prep time.

Conventional Machining Expertise: We understand the value of traditional techniques.  Our well-maintained conventional machining setup is ideal for developing jigs and fixtures specific to your project requirements. 4-Axis Machining Capability


VMC with 4th-Axis Machining

This VMC machine boasts a built-in 4th-axis rotary table, significantly expanding its machining capabilities. Essentially, the 4th-axis adds another dimension of control, allowing the machine to rotate the workpiece along a horizontal axis while the primary axes handle the cutting.

Key Specifications:

Chuck Capacity: Up to 150 mm diameter (This refers to the maximum diameter of a workpiece that can be securely held by the machine’s chuck)

Workpiece Length: Up to 200 mm (This specifies the maximum length of a workpiece that can be accommodated on the machine)

Center Support: The machine offers center support for longer workpieces, enhancing stability and minimizing deflection during machining.

Suitable Operations:

The 4th-axis configuration on this VMC unlocks a variety of operations that would be challenging or impossible on a traditional 3-axis machine. Here are some of the well-suited applications:

Peripheral Drilling: This involves creating holes around the circumference of a cylindrical workpiece. The 4th-axis allows for precise positioning and drilling at various angular intervals.

Slotting: Slots of various shapes and sizes can be efficiently machined on the periphery or axial face of a workpiece using the combined movement of the 4th axis and the X, Y, and Z axes.

Thread Milling: This technique creates high-quality threads on the outer or inner diameter of a workpiece. The 4th-axis enables synchronized rotation and axial movement for accurate thread creation.

Inhouse Passivation Capability

Deep Cleaning and Passivation Expertise for Stainless Steel Components

Mentco provides comprehensive in-house deep cleaning and passivation services for stainless steel components and other compatible materials. We ensure adherence to international standards like ASTM A967 and ASTM A380, guaranteeing a high-quality, consistent finish.

Our Passivation Techniques:

Citric Passivation: This environmentally friendly method utilizes a citric acid-based solution to remove surface contaminants and promote the formation of a passive oxide layer. Ideal for components where nitric acid use is restricted due to safety concerns or potential material incompatibility.

Nitric Passivation: This established technique employs a nitric acid solution to achieve a robust passive layer on stainless steel. It’s particularly effective for components requiring superior corrosion resistance.

The passivation process involves treating the surface of the steel to remove impurities and create a protective layer, typically through chemical or electrochemical means. This layer, often composed of oxides or other compounds, helps prevent corrosion and enhances the steel’s resistance to rusting and other forms of degradation.
